Wonderful....... Staying in AU Place Hotel has served its purpose wonderfully but unfortunately does not fit into the general scheme of things this Songkran weekend. For sometime Katoon has arranged with her sister for us and her family to stay in one house for two nights at least, so I'm left with no choice. At around 10.00 am we depart and head for the restaurant run by Katoon's aunt. There we have a very early lunch despite me finding enough for breakfast. Today is clearly going to be all about a family reunion so there should be nothing to report. We have time to kill before we can check-in and besides Katoon's sister won't arrive until late afternoon having left home today. Hanging around is not what I am used to. However, we do find the time to go land hunting but that turns out to be inconclusive. The family does own land in this area with good views, but we've never explored the possibilities as Loei is really far from Bangkok. Eventually we head for our accommodation. Robbed....... We arrive at a row of just three bungalows finding it not what we expected. It is suite but only has one bedroom. That's not going to work so instead that means two bungalows and at 1,000 baht/night I think I've been robbed but I cannot change things now just live with it. On top of that we need three nights instead of two because of what's been arranged. The point is were here as a family get together for Thai New Year but I'm now only five days away from returning to the UK and the first trip with my wife.
