Wat Ban Mung is located in tambon Ban Mung in Noen Maprang district laying at the foot of jagged cliffs that dominate the area on the edge of Thung Salaeng Luang National Park. It has a cave system known as Tham Nang Sibsong, the area nearby supporting a colony of bats that take to flight at dusk.
