Wat Phra Putthabat Pha Nam is located a few kilometres north of the town of Li. A temple of this name exists at the base of a hill but it’s the chedi and viharn built on the hilltop which stands out, best accessed by a winding road. At the summit, tastefully landscaped, the temple has taken advantage of the contours of the jagged peak to build a staircase and a ramp leading to viewing terraces. While many visitors come for merit making and during important religious ceremonies, they can also enjoy the lovely views especially at dawn and dusk.
