Wat Phra Chao Saliam Wan is located about 2 km west of Ban Hong across the River Li. While not modern, the viharn looks new having been renovated retaining many original features. As the temple is rather remote, it’s rarely visited and now rather neglected and dysfunctional. It has obviously gone under the radar as the Buddha image is at least 500 years old and there may well have been a temple built here going back to the time of Queen Chamathewi (7th Century).
