Phra That Wat Mon Phaya Chae,
City District, Lampang Province

Wat Pha That Mon Phaya Chae is about 8 kilometres east of Lampang located on a hilltop. From the base of the hill there is a stiff climb up a staircase with 585 steps, made of laterite, to the top offering excellent views of the surrounding hills and across to Lampang. The temple was built in 1810 and granted consecrated boundaries on 24 January 1958.

The main features are the Phra That Mon Phraya Chae and the ordination hall at the summit. In the area there are also sacred ponds, a pavilion and other temple buildings. The location is quiet and shady supporting a nature trail.
