Wat Larmchang ruin at Wat Phra Kaew
Don Tao Sucha Daram, Lampang

The old pagoda of Wat Larmchang or Wat Kamhonthai is a round pagoda on a square base located in the grounds of Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao. It was said that the ruler of Nakhon Lampang had tied his elephant to this very place when he came to worship the relics of the Lord Buddha at Wat Phrathat Don Tao. When the temple was built it was so called ‘Wat Larmchang’. The Department of Fine Arts registered this temple as a heritage site on March 8, 1944.
