The wind farm at Thep Sathit consists of 36 2.5 MW wind turbines supplied by GE supplying up to 90 MW. It's the first wind project of this scale in Thailand.

Mr Wannarat Charnnukul, Minister of Energy for Thailand who signed the memorandum of understanding, said: “This project will support the Thai government’s policy to promote cleaner energy, which calls for the country to use renewable resources for 20 percent of its power generation by the year 2020.
