The Buddhist stupa Chedi Phra Borommasaririkkathat is located on the summit of a mountain next to the Khao Kho International Library, Ban Kong Niam, at Mu 4, Tambon Khao Kho. It is said that the Chedi contains the relics of the Lord Buddha, brought in from Sri Lanka. The structure was built by residents of Phetchabun to make merit on the auspicious occasion of the 50th Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty’s Ascension to the Throne, as well as to be an object of worship for Buddhists. On important religious days, locals and visitors conduct ceremonies at the Chedi such as candlelight processions around the temple.
