It is one of Petchabun’s Eco-tourist spots and is served by the Forest Conservation Club for Tourists. Besides the beautiful scenery, Kaeng Bang Rachan is filled with different kinds of flowers, herbs, ferns and insects. There are also local shells, fish and some rare species of butterfly. It is the only place in Thailand which is home for fresh water jellyfish seen in the hot season between February and May.
The Eco-tour activities consist of 1 or 2 day trekking and boat trips which not only bring you into contact with nature but with the local way of living too. The 2 day trip allows you to use Home Stay at Nong Mae Na community centre where you will learn about local tradition and customs.
