The Nok Awk Monument, located on Chao Fah Pier, is dedicated to a native raptor, the White-Breasted Sea Eagle. Its body length is between 60-69 centimeters and it has white feathers along its neck, breast and tail. Over the wings it is brown-grey. It is a day hunter living in trees and breeds in the cool season. Usually 2 eggs are laid and the young birds have to find their own nests when they are about 2 months old. Pairs mate for life and have their own territory. A pair is often seen near Khao Khanab Nam which can be seen from Chao Fah Pier.
