Tammalang Pier is used for ferry crossings between Thailand and Langkawi in Malaysia. Otherwise Tammalang is a customs and immigration post and small fishing port with no tourist infrastructure. Tourists need to proceed to Satun for onward travel.
The one-way ferry ticket from Satun to Langkawi costs 450 Thai Batt and Langkawi to Satun costs 55 Malaysian Ringitts. As of now only one ferry operates which leaves Langkawi at 9.30 A M (Malaysian time) and the return leaves Satun at 11.30 AM (Thai time). It takes one hour each way.
