Wat Phra Non, Suphanburi

Located in Tambon Phihan Daeng, on the bank of Tha Chin River north of Wat No Phutthangkun, Wat Phra Non was built during the Rattanakosin period. It is famed for its large fish sanctuary, which occupies a large section of the river, as well as its beautiful shady park, which serves as the main recreational area for locals. The image hall (Wihan) houses a special reclining Buddha image carved from granite about 2 meters long. Interestingly, while most reclining Buddha images lay on one side, the Buddha image here lies supine (in Thai, “Non”), lending the temple its name.
