June 30th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Cryogenic overnight testing of Starship SN5 is underway....view.
-do- SpaceX Boca Chica - SN5 heads into test series - other Starships wait their turn....view. Checking in on Starship SN5 before her big test series that begins Tuesday night, as the other Starships line up to await their turn!
June 29th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Super Heavy and Future Starships line up ahead of SN5 test preps....view. Another epic sunrise marked the start of another day of work on SN5, future Starships and the Super Heavy launch site. SN5 is set for proof testing as early as Tuesday.
June 28th: SpaceX Boca Chica - SN5 prepares for testing amid growing facility....view. Ahead of the opening test objectives for Starship SN5, SpaceXers are working final preps on the launch mount and vehicle. A drive past also updates the ever-growing facility.
June 27th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Bulkhead Cap Spotted, SN5 Testing Prep Cont., and Manitowoc 18000 Build Progress....view. SpaceX is firing on all cylinders in Texas! The massive Manitowoc 18000 Crane appears nearly complete and ready to get to work, a Bulkhead Cap is spotted at the build site, work on SN5 continues head of its testing campaign and work on the Super Heavy launch pad continues.
June 26th: SpaceX Boca Chica - New downcomer arrives, thrust section spotted, and SN5 testing preps....view. A new downcomer and thrust section were spotted today for a future Starship prototype. Meanwhile, work at the pad continues to prepare Starship SN5 for testing.
June 25th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Sunrise on SN5 Testing....view. Starship SN5 is on the launch mount preparing for her series of tests while SN6 waits patiently in the Mid Bay. Thursday processing began with an amazing sunrise over the Boca Chica region.
June 24th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN5 Rolls Out For Testing....view.
June 23rd: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN7 prototype tank tested to failure....view. SpaceX teams tested the Starship SN7 prototype test tank to failure. The pressure inside of SN7 at the time of the failure has not been confirmed by SpaceX. With SN7 out of the way, Starship SN5 is now expected to roll to the pad Wednesday morning (24th). A road closure notice has been issued for between 6am and 7am....view.
June 22nd: SpaceX Boca Chica - Super Heavy Pad Work and Flare Stack Returns....view. With SN7 preparing for testing on Tuesday, and the return of the Flare Stack - work at next door's Super Heavy launch pad involved the installation of huge columns of rebar.
June 21st: SpaceX Boca Chica - Sunday Drive....view. Ahead of in important week at the test site, Mary (BocaChicaGal) carries out a drive-by of Boca Chica facilities showing the incredible amount of progress during the last 18 months that SpaceX has made on the Starship program and highlighting also the incredible effort Mary has put in to record it all for us!
June 20th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Super Heavy Pad Construction & SN7 Test Prep....view. SpaceX teams continued to lay the foundations for the Super Heavy orbital launch pad in Boca Chica. Meanwhile, SN7 was getting ready for another round of testing and a large crane is on-site to assemble the new high bay.
June 19th: A new rendering of Starship SN5's launch and hover has been produced by Cory....view. If the actual flight is anything like this it would be amazing.
-do- SpaceX Boca Chica - Starships, Test Tanks, Big Cranes and Thrust Pucks....view. With Test Tank SN7 at the launch site, Starship SN5 and SN6 in the High Bay, a huge crane is being assembled and a new Thrust Puck was being transported during Friday.
June 18th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship testing cancelled for Friday 19th, resumes Monday 22nd.
-do- SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN7 Repaired & Superheavy Launch Pad Construction....view. Starship SN7 is repaired and upgraded while the Superheavy Launch Pad undergoes further construction including pouring multiple new foundations. Cory's Taco Dome makes a reappearance as well as some other unknown ring stacks.
June 17th: SpaceX Boca Chica - New road closures: New primary testing date for Starship SN5 (pending rollout?) Friday June 19th 8am-5pm....view.
-do- SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN5 & SN6 have a get together in the high bay....view. Starship SN5 and Starship SN6 were spotted together in the high bay. Meanwhile, SpaceX teams continue to prepare the launch site ahead of the resumption of full-scale Starship testing.
June 16th: SpaceX Starship will need fleet of ocean spaceports, says Elon Musk....view.
-do- SpaceX Boca Chica - New road closures in place: Looks like Starship SN5 is rolling to the pad on the 17th while testing is scheduled for 19th, 22nd and 23rd between 8am-5pm....view.
-do- SpaceX Boca Chica - Stage Set for Starship SN5's arrival at launch site....view. Starship SN5 is set to roll to the SpaceX Boca Chica launch site as early as Wednesday, with preparations for its arrival continuing on Tuesday. The crane fleet also gained a new addition.
June 15th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN7 Test Tank Pops....view. After hours severe punishment ambient testing last night and cryo testing today SpaceX's Starship SN7 test tank popped a leak in the upper dome of the test tank in what was planned as a test to failure as per Elon Musk on Twitter.
June 14th: SpaceX Boca Chica - SN6 in the High Bay. Launch Site Prepares....view. Starship SN6 now has all its sections in the High Bay while SN5 prepares for rollout to the launch pad that continues to enjoy a large amount of activity with SN7 - along with the Super Heavy facility next door.
June 13th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN6 Stacking as SN5 heads outside....view. With SN7 Test Tank at the launch site, two "Grown Up" Starships - SN5 (now outside of the High Bay) and SN6 - (into final stacking) it's the start of a busy period of testing.
June 12th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN7 Test Tank rolls - Canards arrive....view. Test Tank SN7 has rolled to the launch site ahead of Starship SN5, although signs of Starships progressing test series were on show as new Canards for a Starship nosecone also arrived on site but for which one? Meanwhile new road closures in place for the 15th to 17th. These are for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day....view.
June 11th: SpaceX Boca Chica - 304L Starship Sections Appear as Roll Lift Rides In....view. Lots of pre-rollout preps ongoing at SpaceX Boca Chica for SN5 and SN7 test tank as more Starship Sections - made from the new 304L Steel rings - appear at the production facility. Meanwhile the road closures in place for the 11th and 12th have been cancelled. Minor delays are to be expected as rollout of SN5 is imminent....view.
June 10th: SpaceX Boca Chica - SN7 Test Tank - Super Heavy Launch Site Preps....view. Starship SN7 is another test tank, likely made from the new 304L steel rings, and has now been mated ahead of testing. At the launch site, preps for SN5 continue, along with groundwork for the Super Heavy mount next door. Three amazing developments which will be a game changer.
-do- SpaceX Boca Chica - Highway 4 road closures have been scheduled for June 11 from 7 -8 p.m and June 12 from 6 - 7 a.m. Both highway 4 and Boca Chica beach will be closed June 12 from 8 - 5 p.m. due to SpaceX activities. view.
June 9th: SpaceX Boca Chica - SN7 dome goes for a flip....view. Three Starships in work at SpaceX Boca Chica, highlighted by a flip of a SN7 dome, that is either a common or top dome, but is certainly looks different to previous domes. Work at the launch site continues to impress.
June 8th: SpaceX Boca Chica - SN6 prepares as launch site work continues....view. Work continues at the SpaceX Boca Chica launch site ahead of Starship SN5's arrival later this week. The work has progressed with improvements and additions to facilities over and above that existing prior to the demise of Starship SN4. Meanwhile, Starship SN6 is almost ready to become a complete stack via work on the thrust section.
-do- SpaceX Boca Chica - The road closure for June 8th was been cancelled as is the primary test date on the 10th. The 11th and 12th still have closure notices, however. We await a new date for transporting Starship to the launch pad....view.
June 7th: SpaceX Boca Chica - According to a Elon Musk replying to a question on twitter, a giant highbay is planned for the shipyard. This will be for the super heavy booster....view.
-do- SpaceX Boca Chica - Launch Pad prepares to receive Starship SN5....view. Lots of work on the newly installed launch mount at the Boca Chica launch site was ongoing on Sunday as Starship SN5 prepares for this coming week's rollout for testing
June 6th: SpaceX Boca Chica - New Starship Nosecone Peeking....view. Starships are lining up for their turn. Another new nosecone was spotted peeking out of one of the big tents. Preparations continue at the launch site for the arrival of Starship SN5. Heavy lifting gear has been assembled at the launch site with serious work underway to develop both launch and landing pads.
June 5th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN7 taking shape as launch site is prepared for SN5....view. Starship SN7 sections (inc. "mystery dome") are being prepared for stacking next to Starship SN6 in the High Bay! Starship SN5 is days from rolling to the launch site. A replacement launch mount is being preped as well as work on the tank farm; no evidence now this was a crash site just over a week ago. New road closures have just been announced....view. June 8th is the likely date for moving Starship SN5 while longer periods between the 10th and 12th are reserved to resume testing.
June 4th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Mystery Dome appears - Big Yellow Crane and Starships. Nothing interferes with progress here....view.
June 3rd: SpaceX Boca Chica - Lots of 'flipping' action....view. Lots of activity at SpaceX Boca Chica as the Starship SN6 Thrust Structure was flipped, the new launch mount was flipped and the *Orange* Roll Lift arrived! A great day's work for SpaceX bringing the appearance of SN5 to the test stand and resumption of testing much closer.
June 2nd: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN6 Thrust Section and New Legs Spotted....view. While Starship SN5 waits in the High Bay, Starship SN6's final section is being prepared for a flip ahead of completing the SN6 stack. Spot the new landing legs making a brief appearance on a forklift.
June 1st: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starships SN5 and SN6 in the High Bay - SN7 Sleeved....view. Three Starships! SN5 waiting in the High Bay. SN6 being stacked alongside. SN7 dome/bulkhead sleeving. All waiting for the launch site to be cleared.
