Daily News Updates for SpaceX Starship

28th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Flight Termination System Installed onto SN10....view. Despite Starship SN10's test flight delayed until Wednesday, March 3rd, SpaceX has installed its Flight Termination System that's used to destroy the vehicle if it goes off course. Also Raptor SN47 is delivered. WEN HOP MUCH WOW 🐶.
27th: SpaceX Boca Chica - SpaceX logo painted on the landing pad ahead of Starship SN10's test flight....view. SpaceX workers painted the company's logo on the Boca Chica landing pad ahead of Starship SN10's test flight. The launch is currently scheduled for no earlier than Monday. Additionally, the Orbital Launch Site tank farm continues to make progress.
26th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN10 Static Fires for the Second Time....view. After a record breaking engine swap, SpaceX static fires Starship SN10 for the second time this week. If the test was successful, SN10 is now ready for flight.
25th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN15's Nosecone Stacked....view. Starship SN15's nosecone sections are stacked together, completing one of the final steps to prepare it for final assembly. The potential Orbital Launch Table has more pieces delivered and lifted into place.
24th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Rapid Raptor swap clears the way for a second Starship SN10 static fire....view. SpaceX technicians worked quickly on Wednesday – replacing a Raptor engine on Starship SN10 in record time. The successful engine swap could clear the way for a repeat static fire test as early as Thursday afternoon. If the test goes well, a test flight could then occur within a few days.
23rd: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN10 Static Fire....view. SpaceX ignites Starship SN10's Raptor engines for the first time. It is unknown if the test was successful. Mary along with the other residents received a notice that testing may occur on Feb. 24th as well.
--do-- SpaceX Boca Chica - Raptor Engine SN52 Delivered - Super Heavy Ready for New Ring Section....view. SpaceX receives Raptor engine SN52 from McGregor, TX and ships back Raptor SN43. Meanwhile Super Heavy BN1 waits for a new ring section in the High Bay.
22nd: SpaceX Boca Chica - SN10 Gets FAA Approval - Starship SN12's Common Dome Scrapped....view. Crews scrap Starship SN12's common dome as SN10 gets approved for flight by the FAA. SN12-14 were scrapped due to SpaceX accelerating development of upgraded Starships with SN15 and beyond. Concrete continues to be poured at the Orbital Launch Site.
21st: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN10 Tests its Flaps for Flight - Concrete Poured at the Landing Pad....view. Crews pour concrete at the Landing Pad in preparation for Starship SN10's maiden flight. SpaceX is making the pad wider and thicker for future Starship testing. SN10's flight could occur early as this coming week as crews test its aft flaps.
20th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Heat Shield Attached to Future Starship Section - Landing Pad Ready for Concrete....view. Thermal protection tiles are attached to a future Starship section. The entire barrel appears to be prepped for tiles. Meanwhile at the launch site, the landing pad is covered in rebar and waiting for concrete to be poured.
19th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Super Heavy prototype BN1 ready for additional stacking....view. SpaceX teams moved an aft section for the Super Heavy prototype "BN1" to the Highbay on Friday ahead of stacking operations. Meanwhile, new components for other prototypes including Starship SN19's methane header tank were also spotted.
18th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Drive past of Starship facilities as teams make progress despite poor weather....view. Mary takes us on a drive past of the Starship facilities in Boca Chica as Starship teams continue to make progress despite a week of bad weather in South Texas. SpaceX is currently targeting no-earlier than Monday for Starship SN10's static fire test, per road closures.
17th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Orbital Launch Site tank farm progresses, Starship SN10 still awaits testing....view. Starship SN10's planned static fire test continues to be delayed, presumably due to bad weather. In the meantime, teams continue to make progress on the rebar work required to support the upcoming tank farm at the orbital launch site. Starship SN15's nosecone is also nearly ready for stacking.
16th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN15 Nosecone ready for stacking as SN10 prepares for Static Fire....view. As Starship SN10 prepares for a potential Static Fire test on Wednesday, Starship SN11 waits in the High Bay, and the nosecone for SN15 is readied for stacking.
15th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN10 in a cold hold as Production Site hosts future hardware....view. Starship SN10 continues to wait for a pre-launch Static Fire test as freezing weather impacts SpaceX Boca Chica operations. However, new flaps and fins continue to arrive.
14th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Likely Super Heavy Grid Fin and Raptor SN27 arrive....view. Some interesting weekend arrivals into SpaceX Boca Chica on Sunday, including a likely Super Heavy Grid Fin and the return of Raptor SN27, which previously flew with Starship SN5.
13th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Facility Build Build-Up Tour....view. As Starship SN10 heads toward a week currently targeting Static Fire and Launch, Mary (@BocaChicaGal) provides the always-interesting status update of SpaceX Boca Chica via a drive past overviewing of the ever-growing facilities.
12th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Orbital Launch Mount Table assembly points to Starship's Future - SN11/SN16 Prepare....view. While Starship's wait to launch, the Production site was a hive of activity again on Friday, with various sections being worked on while what appears to be the Orbital Launch Mount Table continues assembly.
11th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship Landing Pad Work ahead of SN10 Launch - SN11/SN16 Prepare....view. Work on repairing/expanding the landing pad at SpaceX Boca Chica is taking place ahead Starship SN10's launch. Meanwhile, Starship's SN11 and SN16 continued their processing flows at the Production Site.
10th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN16's Leg Skirt Spotted - SN10 Tests its Flaps....view. Sections for Starship SN16, the second upgraded prototype, were spotted at the Production Site. Parts include its sleeved aft dome and leg skirt. Meanwhile crews continue to prepare the Orbital Launch Site for launch operations.
9th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Super Heavy BN1 Aft Dome Sleeved - Orbital Pad Receives Concrete....view. Concrete trucks arrive to continue the build up of the Orbital Launch Site. Meanwhile Super Heavy BN1's Aft Dome is sleeved in preparation for the booster's completion.
8th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN10 Cryo Proof Tested....view. Starship SN10's tanks were tested with liquid nitrogen and pressurized to near flight pressures to ensure its tanks and systems are ready for flight.
7th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN11 Now Fully Stacked - SN10 Tests its Aft Flaps....view. Starship SN11 receives its nosecone section in the High Bay! It will be next in line for testing after SN10. Also spotted was Super Heavy BN1's aft dome on the sleeving stand and SN10 waves its aft flaps.
6th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN10 Receives its Final Raptors - SN9 Cleanup Continues....view. Starship SN10 was fitted with its final Raptor engine, SN39. It is set to begin its test campaign next week. Also spotted was the remains of all three of SN9's Raptor engines as the wreckage cleanup continues.
5th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Raptor SN50 Delivered to the Launch Site - SN11 Rolled into the High Bay....view. Raptor engine SN50 was delivered to the launch site in preparation for installation into Starship SN10. Also spotted was Starship SN11 being rolled into the High Bay for final stacking.
4th: SpaceX Boca Chica - Test Tank SN7.2 Tested to Failure - SN5 Cut to Pieces....view. SpaceX tests SN7.2, a new 3mm stainless steel test tank, until it fails under pressure. Also spotted was Super Heavy BN2's Forward Dome, Starship SN18's Forward Dome, and SN5 is cut to pieces to make room for more Starships.
3rd: SpaceX Boca Chica - Teams begin cleaning up Starship SN9 wreckage at the launch site....view. SpaceX teams have begun the process of cleaning up Starship SN9 debris from the launch site and surrounding area. At the production site, progress on future prototypes including Starship SN16 continues while teams began to dismantle Starship SN5.
2nd: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN9 10km Test Flight....view. Starship SN9 finally flies after SpaceX received approval from the FAA. Much like SN8, SN9 performed beautifully up until landing, touching down harder than expected due to an engine failing to properly startup.

1st: SpaceX Boca Chica - Starship SN10's First Raptor Arrives - Super Heavy Common Dome Flipped....view. Starship SN10's first Raptor engine arrives at the launch site prior to its test campaign. Super Heavy BN1's Common Dome was flipped in preparation for stacking onto the LOX tank section.
