Four commercial space fliers who launched from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on Axiom’s third private astronaut mission Thursday arrived at the International Space Station on a SpaceX crew capsule Saturday. The crew consists of four members, all with backgrounds as military pilots. They are expected to stay on the ISS for about 14 days, conducting science, education, and commercial activities. |

SpaceX launched four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) aboard its Crew Dragon vehicle Freedom. With all four crew members being tourists, the Axiom Space Mission 3 (Ax-3) mission is the third fully private mission to the ISS, following the Axiom Space Missions 1 and 2. The crew launched atop a Falcon 9 Block 5, from Launch Complex 39A, at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, in Florida. The Ax-3 crew members are Commander Michael López-Alegría, Pilot Walter Villadei of Italy, Mission Specialist Alper Gezeravcı of Turkey, and ESA (European Space Agency) project astronaut Marcus Wandt of Sweden.
