Located on a hillside near Phra That Si Song Rak, Wat Neramit Wipattasana is a slightly new temple famous for its large-size ordination hall and pagoda made of red-colored laterite (si la laeng)---unlike elsewhere in Thailand. The interior is designed similar to the great temples of Bangkok including a wealth of splendid mural paintings.
Buddhists come to the temple to pray toward an official replica of Phra Phutthachinnarat, a revered buddha image in Phitsanulok Province, enshrined in the ordination hall as well as a a wax figure of the late Luang Pho Phra Maha Phan Sila Wisuttho, the founder of the temple, which is displayed inside the pagoda. Opening hours are between 8.00 am - 5.00 pm.
