WELCOME TO UNSEENinTHAILAND
DIARY (started August 2024)

This Diary was started after the daily Tour Blogs and Summaries were discontinued in April 2024. It was felt that the original purpose of the Travel Blog no longer applied. During the course of over 13 years traveling in all of Thailand's provinces, the huge accumulation of places visited weas deemed enough to declare coverage throughout the country. For almost the entire duration of the period, adding general content had been the priory but is no longer. It's evident from recent blogs that more specific activity had been introduced such as attending Thai Premier League football games and obviously visits relating to Thailand's railways too, but more fundamentaly were my intentions as a result of my marriage in Thailand in October 2023: In the closing stages of my Tour Blog I recorded that I was actively looking to relocate, now committed to base myself in Nakhon Nayok rather than the capital.
In April 2023 I created a YouTube Channel to capture content connected with my travels only to realise there was little support for it. The surprise however, was the reaction to my railway videos. It was clear there was interest here and I doubled down on adding more content of this type which added even more interest. The result after a year of creating videos is that this has become the new normal. In addition I continue to support the Thai Premier League in season. So what of the catalogue of sites and attractions I've previously visited?
Visiting sites of general interest will not end but will be opportunistic in future, not given priority but still noted, mentioned in the new diary and added to the catalogue. There will always be plenty of chance to discover something new. From what has already happened, I no longer make plans well in advance to visit this or that province and hardly know what might happen more than a couple of days ahead. This is the way it should be. After all I am retired now and uncommited.
